Turning a Lifelong Love for Animals Into My Dream Career
After closing our restaurant in the Old Town of Hastings. I’ve decided to step away from hospitality for good. I’ve worked in bars, restaurants, and hotels since I was 18 and now it’s finally time to follow a lifelong dream.
Working with animals and turning that passion into my livelihood. I’m very excited to start this new chapter as a professional dog walker. I grew up surrounded by animals and have cared for them my whole life.
I’ve had dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fishes, looked after rescue birds, and spent summers at horse riding camps.
Over the years, animals have been my greatest source of comfort and joy. They’ve been there for me in my hardest moments, and now I want to build a life centred around them.
Earlier this year, our Honey had cruciate ligament surgery, and caring for her during 12 weeks of crate rest gave me an even deeper understanding of what’s needed when animals are healing; toilet breaks, gentle walks, medication, and lots of patience and love. So, I’m taking a leap and starting my own small business as a professional dog walker and pet carer.
